Since the last update, we have spent more time on a simple question: when someone hears about something happening in Johor, how easily can they work out what it is, who is sharing it and how to take part?
Events now have several ways into the same information. Use the calendar to look ahead, the agenda to scan what is coming up, or the map to see where gatherings are. You can set preferences for the kinds of events you want to find and add eligible events to your calendar.
We have also made the source of an event easier to understand. Some listings are shared by outside publishers; Open State events are published through a separate, first-party path. Publisher and freshness details help you decide what to confirm before making plans. An outside listing does not become an Open State event simply because it appears in discovery.
For people organising an event, the work is moving toward a more complete page: the date, time, venue and participation details belong together, with registration and capacity controls shown only when they are ready. Sharing and calendar actions should make it easier to bring the plan to other people.
Discover has grown beyond places to eat and spend an afternoon. A new source-based Johor motorsport guide includes karting, so residents can find local options with clearer information about where the details came from. We are also continuing to build a reviewed set of Johor landmarks for Passport journeys.
You may recognise some of the gatherings because our team has been part of the same local calendar. Being there reminds us that finding an event is only the beginning. The page should set honest expectations; the people who welcome you are what make it worth arriving.
